Instructions
The programme can process two types of texts: monolingual and bilingual (segmented in SDL Trados Studio). The former type of analysis can be useful to translators prior to translation itself, as it gives insight into the existing terms in the termbase, along with the level of reliability and other useful information. The latter type of analysis can significantly help revisers and terminologists to choose new terms to be included in the termbase.
In the Source language section, you should select either English or Serbian, and then select whether the text is monolingual or bilingual. Finally, you can add a document of your choosing by clicking on the button Choose document. The document should be found in the appropriate folder on your computer, and in order to be processed, it must be in .docx format.
Terminology analyser processes a huge quantity of data which requires some time. It takes approximately 10 seconds to process 40,000 characters in an English text. Processing of Serbian texts can take slightly longer.
